Introduction

We can say for sure that each computer sold on the market is now capable of a 3D-acceleration display, due to the graphics board. That has not always been the case: the “old-generation” graphics boards only carried out quite basic processings, but technology evolves quickly, and with it complexity, power and performance.

The purpose of this project is to clarify a little the complex working of a graphics board, via the working of its masterpiece, the GPU.
