Summary
In this article, we'll learn how to configure IPv6 addresses on LAN interfaces.
We'll also learn that there are three types of addresses that can be configured
on a LAN address: the global, site-local and the link-local addresses
IPv6 routing protocols offer the dynamic routing protocol solution for IPv6.
RIP is a traditional distance-vector protocol whose roots go as far back as
1982 and is also an open-standard routing protocol, and therefore can be used to
interconnect different vendors’ equipment. For IPv6, is it an entirely new
standard unlike IS-IS and BGP which are updates from old version in order to
support IPv6.
