This article presents the RAID technology as a whole. It is rather rare to find a complete document on this technology because the RAID could be set up with various implementations and most of the time the articles which are devoted to that technology concentrate on a precise point (for exemple : how to set up RAID 1 on Linux with hard disks using the SCSI interface). Moreover articles on the RAID technology generally target a skilled public and are thus difficult to understand for the neophytes. That's why this document wants to be most complete and most relevant possible while remaining perfectly accessible to the beginners. Good reading!
